Pet Loss Support Groups & Workshops

Groups at SRRPLS are facilitated by a licensed Veterinary Social Worker.
In these group sessions, we will provide support and education on topics such as the grief process, end-of-life decisions (including how to communicate this with children or family), options to say goodbye, guided meditations for pet loss, continuing bond exercises and more. Group trips can also be an option, such as visiting pet crematoriums, vet hospitals, pet cemeteries and sanctuaries. Grief responses vary from person to person, so cultural and spiritual needs are taken into consideration as well.
There is no cost to attend a pet loss group with Snickerdoodles' Rabbit Rescue. All are welcome to attend, and groups are informal, meaning that anyone can join a group at any point in time as different events are scheduled.
*Please note that we do not provide direct mental health care services. If you may need resources for establishing with counseling/therapy, please contact us at snickerdoodlesrescue@gmail.com to be connected with our Veterinary Social Worker to review options and your preferences.

Our goal is to provide families with the knowledge and resources to overcome barriers to maintaining the human-animal bond, and to keep families and their pets together. By doing so, we also hope to reduce the rate of animal abandonment.
