Meet the Snickerdoodles' Rescue Team!

Our volunteers and fosters make this lifesaving work possible. As a registered nonprofit rabbit rescue and social service, we're entirely operated by compassionate individuals who give their time, energy, and heart to support rabbits and the families who love them.

From our core leadership and board members to fosters, transporters, and resource coordinators, each role is essential. Fosters, in particular, make it possible to rescue more rabbits in need—providing safe, loving homes where bunnies can recover, thrive, and prepare for adoption. Together, we create a circle of care that makes every rescue possible.

Lauren Keller - President & Veterinary Social Worker

Lauren is the Founder and President of Snickerdoodles' Rabbit Rescue & Pet Loss Support. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with certification in Veterinary Social Work & Organizational Leadership, blending her passion for animal welfare with her professional expertise in mental health & system level collaboration.

Outside of her volunteer leadership at Snickerdoodles’, Lauren works as a Clinical Supervisor supporting youth and families in behavioral crises, with experience in intensive home-based family therapy, trauma-informed care, and grief & bereavement support, specializing in the loss of animal companions.

Snickerdoodles, her beloved Lionhead rabbit, sparked the heart of this mission; bringing together a community of people who understand the depth of the human-animal bond and who believe in advocating for healing, compassion, and justice for both rabbits and the humans who love them.

At it’s core, Snickerdoodles’ is a space where all are welcome: a community rooted in empathy, connection, and shared purpose. Whether you're grieving a beloved companion, working to make a difference for rabbits in need, or supporting others through their healing, you are part of this mission.

Terrance states, "My beautiful bunny, Princess Tumbleweed, taught me how special the human and animal bond can be, and painfully allowed me to understand the need for pet loss support when she passed away in 2023. I hope to give as much back to the animal community as I can in return for everything the animals have done for me!"
