Our pet loss support groups are provided by a Licensed Veterinary Social Worker. We offer both virtual and in-person groups & workshops. In these free groups, we will provide support & education on topics such as the grief & bereavement process, end-of-life decisions (including how to communicate this with children or family), options to say goodbye, guided meditations for pet loss, continuing bond exercises and more. Group trips can also be an option, such as visiting pet crematoriums, vet hospitals, pet cemeteries and sanctuaries. Grief responses vary from person to person, so cultural and spiritual needs are taken into consideration as well.
All are welcome to attend, and groups are informal, meaning that anyone can join a group at any point in time as different events are scheduled. Support groups can be a great way to feel a sense of connection and togetherness, learn from others, and build skills of new coping tools.

Our goal is to provide families with the knowledge and resources to overcome barriers to maintaining the human-animal bond, and to keep families and their pets together. By doing so, we also hope to reduce the rate of animal abandonment.
